Rebeca Alamo Gonzalez
Rebeca is bold, caring, and quirky writer, script editor and indie film producer.
She writes with perfect fluency in both English and Spanish across a range of different genres, her later expertise being comedy, and across all formats (shorts, sketches, Film Spec, Tv Spec, and Pilot). Her knowledge stretches beyond traditional scriptwriting bleeding into Graphic Novels, Game concepts, and Playwriting. She enjoys writing about plural representation, multicultural appreciation, and intersectional feminism.
She co-host a monthly TV writing group and regularly attends another Writing Club. She uses her weekends to volunteer for the Northwest Film Center, or specific Film Festivals like being a judge and mentor for Signal to Noise (for local youth filmmakers) and part of the selection committee for the Wandering Reel Film Festival.
She's studying to become a certified Open Signal producer with access to their studio resources and graduated with honours from the internationally renowned Vancouver (BC) Film School, in the programs of Writing for Film and Television and Foundation Visual Arts and Design.
